Land speed World Record (the fastest car ever)
We normally assume that we live in the 21st century so we are somehow superior to 90’s people because of technological gap. But do you know the record of land speed, a fastest any car has ever gone was made two decades ago on 15 October 1997?
The record was set when the driver Andy Green in Thrust SSC, accelerated to763 mi/h which is 1,228 kilometer per hour at the Black Rock Desert of Nevada in the USA.
This was so fast that it broke the sound barrier. Thrust SSC is the first car ever built that broke the sound barrier. Stan Barrett from the US is another competitor who participated in setting up record with his Budweiser Rocket Car Record speed of 1,190.377 km/h
World Longest Car
Without discussing a history of Jay Ohrberg (the world longest car designer), this records seems incomplete. This is not his first creation, and almost all of us have seen Jay Ohrberg cars in a lot of famous movies.
At 100 ft., the longest limo in the world American Dream was completed in 1992. It was an impressive idea that nobody can beat today. This limo made a Guinness World Record title for the longest car in the world. It consisted of 26 wheels, fully manual with two engines and required two drivers to operate, one for reversing. Jay Ohrberg also filled the world’s longest limo with the variety of things. Including a Jacuzzi, king sized water bed, a helipad landing point, and a swimming pool, complete with the diving board that is a lot one can expect from a limo.
Fastest Car Crash Survived
How can a person survive if he or she crashes at the speed more than 360 miles per hour?
The record was made in 1960 when driver Donald Campbell crashed his car Bluebird while traveling at a speed of 579 km/h.
The vehicle rolled over and destroyed into pieces immediately and Campbell fractured his skull. The amazing thing that made a world record was against all the odds he survived.
